Additional Skills & Qualifications + Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (may be counted toward required years of experience). + Experience working on utility distribution services within commercial construction environments. + Familiarity with underground utilities and conduit systems for power distribution. + Ability to develop and implement PtP testing plans and oversee field testing activities. + Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams, construction personnel, and community stakeholders. + Ability to mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff. + Organizational skills to manage budgets, schedules, and project documentation for complex engineering initiatives. ## Description The Distribution Engineer (PE) plays a key role in the Distribution Department, leading the engineering and design of overhead and underground electric distribution systems ranging from 4 kV to 69 kV. This position focuses on creating and reviewing detailed work packages for new customer construction, asset replacement, and system upgrades, while ensuring all designs comply with established engineering, construction, and quality standards. The engineer provides technical leadership, supports construction activities, and helps advance critical power distribution initiatives in both urban and rural environments.
