## About the Role

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years experience in the job or related. Prior education, training or experience to include:

 * VMWare
 * Managing networks, Windows system administration and desktop support
 * Storage area network
 * Microsoft 360
 * FortNet
 * Veeam
 * Microsoft Azure

## Description

* Assist in managing IT Infrastructure operations (Physical/Virtual Servers, Networking Connectivity, Storage Network, VDI Help Desk Support, Daily Backup, VOIP Phone System).
 * Install and upgrade servers following established guidelines.
 * Responsible for production and all operational aspects of the on-prem and AWS cloud infrastructure.
 * Maintain IT documentation when changes are made; assist in the development of IT strategic plans; develop IT plans and recommendations for management.
 * Coordinate and implement off-hours server patch management.
 * Monitor and review EDR/XDR alerts (events, security, and firewall, etc.) and resolve related issues.
 * Respond to user's help desk requests and keep them informed through problem resolution. Properly document the tasks performed to resolve each ticket.
 * Communicate with vendors to troubleshoot, fix, upgrade, and improve hardware and software., Telecommuting may be permitted a few days a week. When not telecommuting, must report to JLEM's office in Florham Park, NJ.
