Your attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to accuracy help keep our accounts receivable processes running smoothly while supporting strong cash flow and exceptional customer service. What You'll Do * Accurately apply customer payments received through checks, ACH, wire transfers, lockbox services, and credit card transactions. * Reconcile daily cash receipts to customer accounts and general ledger entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. * Research and resolve payment discrepancies, including short pays, overpayments, unapplied cash, and misapplied payments. * Post customer payments timely and accurately while maintaining the integrity of accounts receivable records. * Communicate with customers and internal teams to resolve payment-related questions and discrepancies. * Monitor and maintain unapplied cash balances, ensuring payments are allocated appropriately. * Generate and review reports related to cash applications, aging accounts, and payment activity. * Support month-end closing activities through reconciliations and cash application reporting. * Maintain accurate documentation and records within accounting and ERP systems. * Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support automation initiatives. * Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and internal controls. * At Coastal, we win as a team.
