## About the Role

* 7+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years leading or managing software engineering teams.
 * Experience developing customer-facing web applications and services using Next.js, React, and C#.
 * Strong understanding of modern software design principles, including SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design, and common design patterns.
 * Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
 * Proven experience coaching, mentoring, and developing software engineers.
 * Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
 * Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
 * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while driving continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

## Description

We're looking for a Software Development Manager to lead and develop a team of engineers responsible for building reliable, scalable, and engaging digital experiences that support our travel brands and customers. This role combines technical leadership with people leadership, guiding a high-performing development team while partnering closely with Product, QA, Project Management, and Engineering stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer-facing web solutions., * Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, supporting their technical growth, career development, and overall performance.

 * Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, from solution design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
 * Guide architectural discussions and technical decision-making to ensure scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performing applications.
 * Drive engineering best practices including code quality, automated testing, Agile delivery, and continuous improvement.
 * Partner cross-functionally with Product, QA, Project Management, and Engineering teams to deliver customer-focused digital solutions.
 * Monitor engineering and operational metrics to improve delivery predictability, software quality, and system reliability.
 * Support cloud-based application development and deployment using Microsoft Azure.
 * Help evaluate technical tradeoffs, delivery risks, and implementation strategies while balancing business priorities and long-term sustainability.
 * Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive engineering culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
