You will sit at the intersection of the business and our data platform-gathering requirements, defining what our numbers mean, and making sure the reporting people rely on is accurate, consistent, and easy to use. Partnering closely with the Data & Analytics, Operations, Finance, M&A, and Advisor teams, you will own metric definitions and documentation, build and maintain dashboards, and drive stakeholder alignment on a shared source of truth. This is a hands-on role that blends analysis, communication, and enablement; less about building pipelines and more about making data usable, understood, and trusted across the firm. You'll play a key role in professionalizing how Mission Wealth measures itself-standardizing definitions, reducing conflicting reports, and helping teams answer their own questions through well-designed, governed dashboards. Mission Wealth has offered 360-degree wealth management services to affluent families since 2000. Our dynamic planning process ensures that every piece of the puzzle is put into place as our clients' lives unfold and their needs evolve. This gives them the complete picture and confidence in their financial future. Day-to-Day as a Business Intelligence Analyst Metrics & Definitions * Partner with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, M&A, and Advisor teams to define, document, and standardize the metrics and KPIs the firm relies on * Maintain a clear, governed metric catalog-single definitions, calculation logic, and business context-so the same number means the same thing everywhere * Reconcile conflicting or duplicate reports by establishing an agreed-upon source of truth and retiring one-off spreadsheets * Document data sources, assumptions, and known limitations so reporting is transparent and auditable Dashboards & Reporting * Translate business requirements into intuitive dashboards and reports using modern BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms * Write and optimize SQL against Snowflake to build analytics-ready datasets and answer ad hoc questions * Deliver clear, actionable reporting for advisors, operators, and leadership, including recurring KPI, operational, and executive views * Partner with the Data & Analytics team to create LLM-ready datasets Stakeholder Alignment & Requirements * Run requirements-gathering conversations that turn ambiguous asks into clear, prioritized deliverables * Facilitate alignment across teams on definitions, priorities, and what "good" looks like for a given report * Manage analytics request intake and roadmap, setting expectations and communicating status to technical and non-technical audiences * Conduct user acceptance testing and validation so dashboards are correct and trusted before they go live Self-Service Enablement & Data Literacy * Build and document self-service reporting so teams can answer their own questions without waiting on a custom pull * Create user guides, quick-reference materials, and training that raise data literacy across the firm * Champion good reporting habits-consistent definitions, appropriate visualizations, and healthy skepticism of unvetted numbers * Gather feedback and continuously improve dashboards, definitions, and enablement materials over time ## Related Videos - [Empowering Retail Through Applied Machine Learning](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/976-empowering-retail-through-applied-machine-learning) - [Making Data Warehouses fast.
