## About the Role

Required

 * Minimum 5 years of structured cabling experience.
 * Previous experience leading installation crews.
 * Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA standards and structured cabling best practices.
 * Experience installing and terminating:
 * Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A
 * Single-mode and multi-mode fiber
 * Patch panels
 * Network racks and cabinets
 * Experience using Fluke cable certification testers and fiber testing equipment.
 * Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
 * Strong troubleshooting skills.
 * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
 * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders and lifts.
 * Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred

 * BICSI Installer or Technician certification.
 * OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
 * Fiber optic certifications.
 * Experience working on federal, military, or Department of Defense projects.
 * Experience with access control, CCTV, or wireless installations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour

## Description

Lead Network Cabling Technician to oversee and perform the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of structured cabling systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage projects while mentoring installation teams.

This position requires a motivated professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

 * Lead crews on commercial and government structured cabling projects.
 * Install, terminate, label, and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optic, and coaxial cabling.
 * Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and network drawings.
 * Install cable pathways including conduit, cable tray, J-hooks, ladder rack, and raceways.
 * Install telecommunications rooms, racks, cabinets, patch panels, and network equipment.
 * Perform copper and fiber certification testing using industry-standard test equipment.
 * Troubleshoot network cabling and connectivity issues.
 * Maintain accurate project documentation, test reports, and as-built drawings.
 * Coordinate daily work with project managers, customers, and subcontractors.
 * Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within quality standards.
 * Train and mentor junior technicians.
 * Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
