Join active deals alongside the AE and Agent Strategist as the technical authority in the room. Run architecture discussions with customer IT, explain exactly how Fragment connects to their ERP landscape, and scope integration feasibility before the contract is signed. When a customer's enterprise architect asks how we handle their heavily customized SAP instance, you're the person with a credible, specific answer. * Security & IT Reviews. Own the security review track that can make or break enterprise deal timelines. Drive infosec questionnaires, data residency and access-control discussions, network and firewall design conversations, and compliance reviews from first call to sign-off. You know this motion, you've run it before, and you keep it moving so deals don't stall. * Hands-On Integration Delivery. This is a hands-on-keyboard role, not a whiteboard role. Post-signature, you build the integrations yourself: connecting Fragment to customer SAP instances (think IDocs, BAPIs, OData services, RFCs, SAP Integration Suite/CPI) and to the adjacent systems around them. Every customer's landscape is different - heavily customized ECC here, S/4HANA with strict middleware policies there - and you get productive in each one fast. * Integration Architecture & Playbooks. As the first hire in this function, you'll define the patterns everyone after you uses: reusable connector designs, integration runbooks, security review response libraries, and the documentation that turns your individual expertise into a scalable capability. What starts as SAP expands to Oracle, Coupa, and whatever our customers run next - you'll shape how we approach all of it. * Product Partnership. Work directly with our engineering team to harden and expand Fragment's integration layer. Surface what real customer landscapes demand, pressure-test connector designs against actual enterprise environments, and bring field learnings back so the platform gets easier to connect with every deployment., You're senior enough to be credible in front of a Fortune 500 enterprise architect on day one, and hands-on enough to ship the integration yourself in week one. You've spent your career where enterprise software meets enterprise IT, and you have real depth in SAP landscapes - with the range to flex beyond them. You might come from one of these paths: * The SAP integration veteran. You've spent years in an SAP consultancy or an enterprise SAP Center of Excellence building interfaces between SAP and everything around it. You know PI/PO, CPI/Integration Suite, IDocs, BAPIs, and OData cold, and you've sat across from customer IT and security teams - not just behind a project manager. * The enterprise SaaS solutions architect. You've been the technical counterpart to sales at a company that sells into SAP shops - an iPaaS vendor, a procurement platform, an enterprise data company. You've scoped integrations pre-sales, survived infosec questionnaires, and then delivered what you promised. * The integration-platform architect. You come from the middleware world (MuleSoft, Boomi, SnapLogic, Workato, or similar) with deep, repeated exposure to SAP environments. You think in APIs, auth patterns, and data mappings, and you've connected platforms to a dozen different ERPs., * Is credible with enterprise IT on day one. You can hold the room with a Fortune 500 enterprise architect, a CISO's team, and a skeptical SAP Basis admin - and leave with their confidence. * Stays in the weeds by choice. You've had chances to move into pure architecture or management and kept building instead. You measure your week by integrations shipped, not diagrams drawn. * Ramps on unfamiliar landscapes fast. No two customer SAP instances look alike. You've walked into heavily customized, poorly documented environments before and found your footing in days, not months. * Flexes beyond SAP. Our customers also run Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, and homegrown systems, sometimes all at once. SAP is where we need you deepest today; enterprise integration breadth is where this role goes. * Treats security reviews as a craft, not a chore. You know the difference between a security review that stalls a deal for a quarter and one that closes in three weeks, and you know how to run the second kind. * Takes ownership under pressure, with an instinct to run toward the fire. ## Related Videos - [Next Level Enterprise Architecture: Modular, Flexible, Scalable, Multichannel and AI-Ready?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1017-next-level-enterprise-architecture-modular-flexible-scalable-multichannel-and-ai-ready) - [HR ROBO SAPIENS: Decoding AI Agents and Workflow Automation for Modern Recruitment](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1470-hr-robo-sapiens-decoding-ai-agents-and-workflow-automation-for-modern-recruitment) - [Why make use of an integration platform in today's software developments and infrastructure?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/758-why-make-use-of-an-integration-platform-in-today-s-software-developments-and-infrastructure) - [Create a Programmatic SEO Project Using Next.js and Static Site Generation](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/449-create-a-programmatic-seo-project-using-next-js-and-static-site-generation) - [Get Your Stack Together: Building the Right Recruiting Tech](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1295-get-your-stack-together-building-the-right-recruiting-tech) - [Replacing Excel with SAP APIs & Python validation](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1944-replacing-excel-with-sap-apis-python-validation) ## Related Articles - [The Biggest German Tech Companies](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/424-the-biggest-german-tech-companies) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated) - [Where To Find Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/396-where-to-find-software-engineering-jobs) - [How Much FAANG Companies Actually Pay Software Engineers in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/230-how-much-faang-companies-actually-pay-software-engineers-in-2025) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Where to Find Entry-Level Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/397-where-to-find-entry-level-software-engineering-jobs)
