Maybe you were a designer in a past life, but now write code. You'll raise the bar for visual and interaction quality across our product surfaces, working closely with engineering, product, and design partners. We care about people who can operate autonomously: understanding the business context well enough to make good tradeoffs without heavy direction, and growing into broader product ownership over time. What You Will Do * Design and build the high-fidelity, polished interfaces in our product * Raise the bar for frontend craft, interaction design, motion, visual detail, performance under real usage * Partner closely with product and engineering to turn rough ideas into shippable, delightful experiences * Make sound architectural decisions for frontend systems that scale with the product * Mentor other engineers on design sensibility and frontend craft * Grow into broader product ownership, understanding customer needs, business context, and shipping end-to-end, The San Francisco Compute Company is committed to maintaining a workplace free from discrimination and harassment., We welcome the opportunity to consider qualified applicants with prior arrest or conviction records. Our commitment to diversity includes hiring talented individuals regardless of their criminal history, in accordance with local, state, and federal laws, including San Francisco's Fair Chance Ordinance and California's ban-the-box laws. ## Related Videos - [Lessons learned from building a thriving Vue.js SaaS application](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1666-lessons-learned-from-building-a-thriving-vue-js-saas-application) - [Watch Tests Go Brrrr! : Getting Started with Cypress in ReactJS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/282-watch-tests-go-brrrr-getting-started-with-cypress-in-reactjs) - [Svelte ♥ TypeScript and so will you](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/493-svelte-typescript-and-so-will-you) - [But, you're not Facebook](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/378-but-you-re-not-facebook) - [Why I Recommend Svelte to Every New Web Developer](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/132-why-i-recommend-svelte-to-every-new-web-developer) - [On tour with heroes == Moving from Angular to WebComponents](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/63-on-tour-with-heroes-moving-from-angular-to-webcomponents) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [16 Best Free React UI Libraries in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/148-16-best-free-react-ui-libraries-in-2025) - [Dev Digest 133 - Back to Front](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/474-dev-digest-133-back-to-front) - [The Best 7 Frontend Frameworks for Developers in 2025](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/400-the-best-7-frontend-frameworks-for-developers-in-2025) - [Dev Digest 139 - Soft and hard queries](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/487-dev-digest-139-soft-and-hard-queries) - [Dev Digest 130 - The Diablo is in the details](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/470-dev-digest-130-the-diablo-is-in-the-details)
