Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience working with personal computers. Must have a working knowledge of at least two of the supported software products. Please be as detailed as possible and list all of your past employment.***, * Associate (Preferred) Experience: * Computer literacy: 4 years (Required) Ability to Commute: * Charleston, WV 25301 (Required) ## Description The West Virginia Tax Division is seeking a highly motivated and organized candidate to support business technical processes as a Help Desk Analyst 2 in its Research Division. Under general supervision, at the advanced level, examples of duties to be performed include but are not limited to: * Provide support in determining, analyzing and resolving business process problems regarding the agency's tax software, including the resolution of complex issues and cases. * Provide direct assistance and coordinate solutions between end users of tax-specific software and applications and technical staff via electronic methods or in person. * Coordinate and direct end user testing of new program applications as well as existing configuration upgrades and production changes. * Design form content and layout to ensure technical specifications and tax administration needs are met. Must have a thorough knowledge of the integrated tax system used in support of business applications. * Communicate effectively with a variety of end users, from novice system users to experienced data processing professionals. * Provides support to end users, management, and other divisions as required. Performs related work as required. Employment requires a fingerprint-based criminal-background check to be provided at the West Virginia Tax Division's expense. Failing to initiate the process or cooperate with this process, providing false or incomplete information, or discovery of disqualifying information will result in denial of, or dismissal from, employment or denial of transfer irrespective of when discovered.
