Physical and Mental Requirements: * Standing and sitting for extended periods of time * Lifting up to 50 pounds in a safe and prudent manner * Ability to move easily through a 45,000 sq. ft. facility * Ability to read, write, and understand English * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Correctable vision and hearing * Ability to work on-site full-time to perform job functions, * Are you fluent in programming C or C++? * Do you hold a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent? * Do you have at least 5 years of experience developing embedded software? * Do you have experience or familiarity with DO-178C or similar safety-critical software standards? * Do you have experience developing software for avionics systems? * Do you have experience with embedded graphics or OpenGL? ## Description The Software Engineer is responsible for architecture, design, verification and validation of embedded avionics software for Aspen equipment. This position provides a key role in defining Aspen's next generation of avionics systems and ensuring the goals of these systems are achieved.
