Previous internship or work experience as an entry level engineer with 0-2+ years' experience is preferred. Demonstrated interest in software engineering through academic coursework, internships, co-op assignments, personal projects, open-source contributions, or related technical experience. Foundational programming skills in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, C++, or similar technologies. Basic understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design concepts. Familiarity with software development tools and practices, including source control systems (Git), integrated development environments (IDEs), debugging, and code reviews. Exposure to software quality practices such as unit testing, automated testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution. Foundational knowledge of web, mobile, API, or service-based application development is preferred. Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and services, preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Exposure to modern development practices such as Agile methodologies, continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and DevOps concepts is preferred. Basic understanding of databases, including SQL and relational database concepts. Exposure to NoSQL databases is a plus.
