This is a great opportunity to build technical and professional skills while working alongside experienced IT professionals in a collaborative environment. As a Student Assistant, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting day-to-day network operations and administrative functions. You'll assist with maintaining databases, validating and migrating data between applications, creating reports, updating documentation, monitoring ServiceNow work queues, and supporting staff with research and troubleshooting efforts. You'll also have the opportunity to work with network tools and dashboards, create design diagrams, and assist with equipment tracking and inventory. Throughout the position, you'll develop experience using a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Visio, and other business tools. You'll also gain a better understanding of network operations while learning from experienced team members. We're looking for someone who is organized, willing to learn, pays close attention to detail, and enjoys working with technology and data. Work Schedule Flexible workdays and work hours, Monday - Friday, between 8 AM - 5 PM. The final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor. Additional Work Schedule Student Assistant and Graduate Assistant employees generally work up to 24 hours per workweek (Sunday - Saturday) during the academic year and up to 30 hours per workweek during breaks; (winter, spring, and summer)., + Knowledge of network technologies, ability to perform first level troubleshooting efforts. + Research various databases to assist in data migration and cleanup efforts. + Access, monitor and update various Service Now work queues. + Create and revise processes and procedures, spreadsheets, presentations, graphs, network diagrams, and reports utilizing MS Office software, Visio, SharePoint, internet and intranet tools etc. + Work on both long- and short-term assignments, both individually and as a part of a team. + Multi-task, flexible and possess the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner. Participate in conducting physical inventory, which includes lifting, moving and scanning of equipment.
