## About the Role

+ Strong commercial experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio, and relational database design within production environments.
 + Proven experience writing, troubleshooting, and optimising complex queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database performance.
 + Experience supporting business-critical applications, resolving database and data quality issues, and collaborating with software development teams.
 + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage priorities independently.
Desirable:

 + Experience with SQL Server Always On or other high-availability environments.
 + Knowledge of SQL Server administration, Azure DevOps, source control, CI/CD, and database deployment practices.
 + Experience supporting large-scale transactional databases or working within logistics, transport, or warehousing environments.

Pearson Carter are currently working with a well-established logistics and transport organisation that is continuing to invest heavily in its internal technology function and is looking to strengthen its IT Development team through the appointment of an experienced SQL Server Database Developer.
