We are seeking a savvy Data Platform Engineer to join our growing Data Platform Management team. This role focuses on expanding and optimizing data architecture and pipelines to support cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for data, capable of building and refining data systems from the ground u, * 5+ years of SQL Server development experience

 * 1+ years of Python scripting
 * 5+ years of data modeling experience
 * 5+ years of ETL experience
 * 5+ years working with multiple database technologies (SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle)
 * 2+ years of big data experience (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Snowflake)
 * Expert knowledge of data warehousing
 * Data model development using ERWIN

Desired Skills:

 * BI lifecycle management
 * Working knowledge of Microsoft VBA, HTML, Python

## Description

* Data Acquisition & Ingestion:

 * Identify and integrate data sources using ETL tools such as SSIS and Alteryx.
 * Work with data from SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop/Hive, PostgreSQL, Oracle, flat files, Google Cloud Platform, and Snowflake.

Data Optimization:

 * Improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality using advanced data solution techniques.
 * Automate workflows to ensure timely data delivery.

Architecture & Modeling:

 * Define data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles including modeling, metadata, security, and reference data.
 * Create and optimize data models to support business applications.

System Review & Support:

 * Review and enhance existing data systems for compatibility and performance.
 * Support the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.
