## About the Role

* Strong technical background: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar with 4+ years industry experience.
 * Extensive experience deploying software in a Linux environment, including familiarity with the Linux networking stack and a variety of Linux distributions.
 * Experience working with robotic systems.
 * Field-test forward: You are passionate about building systems that work in the real world: despite rain, snow, and mud.
 * Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.
 * Ability to relocate to Seattle, WA.

Nice to have

 * Experience with data protocols such as RS 232, CAN, SPI, and I2C.
 * Experience with drive-by-wire systems
 * Deep technical expertise in sensors such as cameras and LIDARs.
 * High-performance, low latency, and/or real time C / C++ development.
 * Experience building Linux kernels and tinkering with low level device drivers.
 * Experience with safety critical software.
 * Experience with time synchronization protocols such as NTP and PTP.
