Each node in the factory integrates dense GPU clusters and generates massive, high-frequency data streams that must be processed in real time on the edge. You will design systems spanning heterogeneous compute (CPU/GPU), high-bandwidth interconnects (e.g., NVLink, InfiniBand), and distributed data platforms to support both real-time control loops and large-scale data processing. You will oversee both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. This is a unique opportunity to build advanced compute systems and scale them from a single deployment into a globally distributed platform., * Architect and scale state-of-the-art edge compute and storage systems for a big-data infrastructure, enabling Freeform to perform real-time machine learning on the edge as well as store petabytes of physics-based data for inference * Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of IT systems * Optimize and manage virtualization and containerization technologies * Design, implement, and manage the company's networking infrastructure, ensuring robust connectivity, performance optimization, and security across all network layers * Implement and manage comprehensive security protocols to protect data, systems, and infrastructure. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure the highest levels of protection * Ensure infrastructure is built and scaled with cost and resource efficiency in mind * Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for network security operations such as NIST and ITAR ## Related Videos - [Alibaba Big Data and Machine Learning Technology](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/37-alibaba-big-data-and-machine-learning-technology) - [The Gashlycrumb Tinies of AI Networking You Must Know (or Languish!)](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2067-the-gashlycrumb-tinies-of-ai-networking-you-must-know-or-languish) - [How I built my own intelligent Robot Arm from Scratch](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100097-how-i-built-my-own-intelligent-robot-arm-from-scratch) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [PySpark - Combining Machine Learning & Big Data](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/44-pyspark-combining-machine-learning-big-data) - [AI Factories at Scale](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1139-ai-factories-at-scale) ## Related Articles - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [7 Cloud Computing Trends Coming in 2025 for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/412-7-cloud-computing-trends-coming-in-2025-for-developers) - [Best US AI Conferences for CTOs in 2026: Build vs. Buy, Vendor Evaluation, and Peer Intelligence](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/736-best-us-ai-conferences-for-ctos-in-2026-build-vs-buy-vendor-evaluation-and-peer-intelligence) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Stephan Gillich - Bringing AI Everywhere](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/489-stephan-gillich-bringing-ai-everywhere) - [Why Attend a Developer Event in 2026?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/688-why-attend-a-developer-event-in-2026)
