## About the Role

* Extensive experience administering Microsoft SQL Server (2016-2022).
 * Advanced T-SQL development skills (stored procedures, views, functions and query optimisation).
 * Strong SQL Server performance tuning, indexing and troubleshooting experience.
 * Experience with SQL Server backup, restore, disaster recovery and high availability.
 * Experience planning and delivering SQL Server upgrades and migrations.
 * Experience developing and supporting ETL solutions and data integration processes.
 * Strong understanding of relational database design and data warehousing principles.
 * Experience supporting Microsoft Power BI datasets, semantic models and reporting solutions.
 * Experience with Microsoft Fabric or equivalent modern Microsoft data platform technologies.
 * Experience managing SQL Server security, permissions and database governance.
 * Power BI governance and deployment pipelines.
 * Microsoft Entra ID security and access management.

Experience (ideally)

 * Proven experience supporting enterprise SQL Server environments.
 * Experience delivering database migration and infrastructure modernisation projects.
 * Experience working across multiple concurrent technical workstreams.
 * Experience producing technical documentation and operational procedures.
 * Experience supporting Microsoft Power BI migration programmes.
 * Knowledge of dimensional modelling (Kimball methodology).
 * Experience working within Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
