## About the Role

* Experience in IT support, IT infrastructure, and administration.
 * Knowledge of VMware and other virtualisation technologies.
 * Understanding of cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure.
 * Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms.
 * Proficiency in maintaining Windows Server and Linux environments.
 * Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
 * Basic knowledge of security principles and access management.
 * Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 * Good communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
 * Ability to work effectively within a collaborative technical team., * Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
 * Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
 * CompTIA Network+ or Server+.
 * Linux Essentials or equivalent certification.
 * Exposure to Kubernetes, OpenShift, or container technologies such as Docker.
 * ITIL Foundation certification.
 * Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
 * Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
 * Experience working in hybrid cloud environments.
 * Exposure to automation and DevOps practices.
 * Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Azure Monitor.

## Description

* Support the administration and operation of cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.
 * Maintain Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
 * Assist with the deployment, configuration, and support of Azure cloud services.
 * Support virtualisation platforms and enterprise hosting environments.
 * Assist in the administration of Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms.
 * Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
 * Support incident, problem, and service request management activities.
 * Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
 * Implement and support infrastructure changes in accordance with organisational standards.
 * Contribute to automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
 * Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
 * Work with senior engineers to resolve technical issues and improve service reliability.
