In this role, you will be responsible for improving equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime, and supporting long-term asset performance within a forging and machining manufacturing environment. This role works closely with maintenance, engineering, production, and quality teams to develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies, analyze equipment failures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve operational efficiency, safety, and productivity. What you will do * Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies for forging, machining, and facility equipment. * Analyze equipment failures, downtime trends, and maintenance data to identify root causes and corrective actions. * Lead root cause analysis investigations for recurring equipment and process failures. * Support preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs. * Develop and optimize maintenance procedures, PM schedules, and equipment standards. * Monitor and improve key maintenance and reliability KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and PM compliance. * Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment availability. * Support troubleshooting of complex hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems. * Assist with capital projects, equipment upgrades, and new equipment installations to improve long-term reliability. * Evaluate equipment performance and recommend modifications or upgrades to improve reliability and maintainability. * Support lubrication management, vibration analysis, thermography, and other predictive maintenance technologies. * Maintain equipment history, reliability records, and technical documentation within the CMMS system. * Assist with spare parts management and critical spare identification. * Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and cost reduction. * Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance and operations personnel. * Other duties as assigned., * Location-The Reliability Engineer role is based onsite at our Columbus facility * Physical Demand-May be required to lift moderately heavy automotive components up to 15 pounds * Schedule-Monday thru Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:15 PM, some overtime or weekends may be necessary Walor North America strives to be a workplace that is free of discrimination and places fostering a culture of and belonging in the highest regard.
