This position is responsible for managing and securing the enterprise IT infrastructure, overseeing helpdesk operations, and ensuring reliable, compliant, and secure network services across all supported environments. The incumbent plays a critical role in safeguarding sensitive defense systems and maintaining operational readiness through strategic IT management, cybersecurity compliance, and enterprise network administration., Enterprise IT Management * Lead the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the organization's enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, servers, storage, cloud integrations). * Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and scalability of IT systems supporting weapon systems development programs. * Develop and enforce IT governance policies, procedures, and best practices in accordance with federal and DoW standards. * Manage system upgrades, patches, and lifecycle planning for hardware and software assets. * Oversee cybersecurity controls and ensure compliance with applicable federal security frameworks. Helpdesk & End-User Support * Manage and supervise helpdesk operations, including ticketing systems, service-level agreements (SLAs), and performance metrics. * Provide Tier II/III technical support and escalation management. * Establish knowledge management practices to improve service efficiency and user satisfaction. * Train and mentor IT support personnel. Cybersecurity & Compliance * Implement and maintain security protocols aligned with Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements. * Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk analyses, and remediation planning. * Ensure compliance with federal information security standards and accreditation processes. * Support audits and security reviews. Project & Systems Support * Collaborate with engineering and program teams to ensure IT systems effectively support weapon system development environments. * Participate in classified and sensitive systems planning. * Lead IT-related projects including infrastructure modernization, migration initiatives, and security enhancements. Vendor & Asset Management * Manage IT procurement, vendor relationships, licensing agreements, and maintenance contracts. * Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configurations, and inventory., This position operates in a secure government facility environment supporting mission-critical defense programs.
