* 7+ years of professional software engineering experience

## Description

A frontier AI and defense technology company backed by significant funding is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to build the next generation of physics-based simulation capabilities used to support wargaming applications.

Working alongside experts in software engineering, physics, AI, and defense, you'll develop the simulation frameworks and models that enable customers to evaluate complex real-world scenarios before making critical decisions. From platform and sensor modeling to event-driven simulation architecture, you'll help build software that underpins next-generation modeling and simulation systems.

This is a hands-on, deeply technical role focused on designing and building high-performance simulation software in modern C++ and Python. You'll develop extensible simulation frameworks, implement physics and operational models, and help scale distributed simulation environments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure while ensuring performance, accuracy, and maintainability.
