The Data Center Management team is a nimble and efficient team of technical & operations subject matter experts focused on delivering and maintaining Uptime 2. The Data Center Engineering team provides management of physical systems within On-Premise & Cloud data centers, which includes cooling, power, structured cabling & physical network, and monitoring / alerting What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points ---- What the Candidate Will Do ---- What You'll Do Data Center Engineering, Strategic Engineering 3. Provide technical support for strategic electrical engineering efforts 4. Collaborate with data center technical & operations team in setting standards and improving data center efficiency and operationsData Center Engineering, Design & Retrofit 5. Provide technical design of electrical systems for retrofits 6. Prepare electrical design criteria, conceptual design documents, and specifications for retrofits 7. Prepare technical support for cost analysis and business cases for electrical retrofits & improvements 8. Review electrical system test scripts, procedures, & results and participate in commissioning activities (as required) 9. Review electrical operation configurations for compliance with SLAs 16. Development and execution of electrical preventive maintenances 17. Provide communication to internal and external teams about electrical system operation and limitations, as well as scheduled activities and maintenances 18. Development and continuous improvement of MOPs, SOPs, Change Management requests, etc. for Uber procedures to external companies 19. Participation with internal and external teams of potential data center electrical service impacts and high risk activity 20. Respond as-needed during data center outages and incidents 21. Collaborate and support partner teams to assist with power, cooling and network connectivity outages 22. Participate in incident review meetings, root cause analysis investigations and discussions, 36. Wet-side design and distribution (chilled and condenser water systems) 37. CRAC and CRAH design and distribution 38. Understanding of mechanical design and operational changes with varying rack power density 39. Knowledge of industry standards, ASHRAE, mechanical / building codes, energy codes, and life safety standards (e.g. NFPA) 40. Networking & Structured Cabling Distribution: Basics of all layers plus cabling, optics and supporting infrastructure 41. Understanding of mission critical structured cabling distribution to coincide with networking topology 42. Understanding of various components within structured cabling designs 43. Knowledge of industry standards, BICSI and RCDD standards 44. DCIM: Monitoring protocols, data analysis and reporting 45. Cross functional knowledge of mission critical systems, strong troubleshooting and analytical skills 46. Exposure to load management within mission critical facilities 47.
