Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Manufacturing Engineer - Space Hardware, Amazon Leo - **Company:** Amazon.com, Inc. - **Location:** Kirkland, WA, United States - **Salary:** $96,600.0 - $160,000.0 - **Contract:** Internship / Graduate position - **Skills:** Computer-Aided Design, SolidWorks (CAD), Siemens NX - **Published:** July 29, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.amazon.jobs/en/jobs/10486898/manufacturing-engineer-space-hardware-amazon-leo ## About the Role Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aerospace/Industrial/Electrical) or related discipline, or equivalent experience. - 1+ year experience with integrating, testing and troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems - 1+ year experience with Computer Aided Design tools such as Solidworks or NX/Unigraphics, Related experience from internships or college organizations- Technical writing experience, including work instructions, standard operating procedures and/or test plans. - Experienced with various automated manufacturing processes, including assembly and test methods at component level, subsystem, and system level. - Experienced with handling and tracking systems for continuous material flow to manufacturing lines. - Familiar with QTP/ATP, functional testing, and/or environmental testing such as thermal, acoustic, or vibe. - Experience supporting both Development and Production programs - Formal training/certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.) a plus. - Strong organizational, analytical, root cause analysis and problem solving skills. - Excellent communication and leadership skills. ## Description Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. A Manufacturing Engineer in this role will be supporting the technician team by resolving any obstacles and working with responsible engineers to disposition non-conformances. This individual will work closely with engineering teams in specifying and building or procuring tools and line equipment for Leo hardware builds. The successful candidate has some basic experience in supporting production of space hardware through development, QTP (qualification test procedures), and flight hardware ATP (acceptance test procedures).
