## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in CS or related engineer field 5+ years Network Engineer experience or Masters with 2+ years Network Engineer experience
 * Experience and interest to work in a network operations role
 * Extensive experience with scripting or automation and datacenter design - Python preferred, but must demonstrate expertise in a scripting or compiled language
 * Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
 * Excellent judgment in influence for product roadmap direction, features, and priorities
 * Required to participate in an on call rotation
Preferred Qualifications:

 * Experience troubleshooting and engineering networks that rely on common industry relevant protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, ZTP, VPN, and SSL the below protocols:
 * Experience with network monitoring and telemetry solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana.
 * Extensive experience with scripting or automation and datacenter design - Python preferred, but must demonstrate expertise in a scripting or compiled language
 * Experience working with UNIX and Linux operating systems, to include scripting and automation of tasks.
 * Experience working in a large ISP or cloud provider environment
 * Experience with embedded or real-time operating systems
 * Experience with network configuration management
