## About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience developing and supporting reliable applications using Microsoft technologies. Experience working with government agencies, regulated environments, or large enterprise systems is beneficial., * Professional software development experience using C# and the .NET platform

 * Experience with ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Web API, or similar Microsoft technologies
 * Experience working with relational databases and SQL
 * Knowledge of REST APIs, system integrations, and application architecture
 * Familiarity with Git or another source-control system
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 * Ability to work independently in a mostly remote environment
 * Strong written and verbal communication skills
 * Must be located in Oklahoma or within reasonable travel distance for occasional on-site work
 * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience supporting state, local, or federal government projects
 * Experience with Microsoft Azure or another cloud platform
 * Familiarity with JavaScript or a modern front-end framework
 * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
 * Understanding of application security and accessibility standards
 * Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments

## Description

We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer for a long-term public-sector technology project in Oklahoma. This is a 40-hour-per-week contract position performed primarily remotely, although occasional on-site work or meetings in the Oklahoma area may be required., * Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET and C#

 * Develop and support web applications, APIs, integrations, and backend services
 * Work with SQL databases, including writing queries and troubleshooting data-related issues
 * Analyze technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions
 * Troubleshoot application defects and production issues
 * Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment activities
 * Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts, and public-sector stakeholders
 * Follow established security, accessibility, documentation, and change-management requirements
 * Maintain clear technical documentation for applications and system changes
 * Provide status updates and communicate risks or technical concerns to the project team
