Clinicians who are not currently an MHP, BCBA or GMHS must work under the supervision of a MHP, BCBA, or GMHS. * Licensure/Certification: Clinicians must be certified as a Mental Health Professional (MHP), Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), or Agency Affiliated Counselor, (Licensed, or Certified, Clinicians who are not currently an MHP, BCBA or GMHS must work under the supervision of a MHP, BCBA, or GMHS.) * Other Considerations: * + DSHS background clearance required. * + Current valid Washington State Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance. * + Skill using Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Flexible. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in challenging dynamic situations including behavioral issues. + Skill in reading, synthesizing, and acting upon multifaceted information. + Ability to write effective positive behavior support plans specific to client need Ability to train and coach caregivers in the implementation of positive behavior support and de-escalation. + Extensive knowledge of clinical issues pertaining to adult client populations, along with extensive understanding of the clinical process and intervention strategies used to address these issues. + Relate effectively with clients, agency staff, other community programs, and the general public. + Work across agencies and disciplines, and as a part of a multidisciplinary therapeutic team. ## Description * Coordinate and facilitate care conference meetings to problem solve and address issues relating to challenging behaviors and community placement * Create effective client specific positive behavior support plans / Individual support plans to be utilized by clients and residential providers in community settings. Monitor use of the plans and provide trainings and consultation as needed to ensure effective use of the plan. Update and modify plans as needed. * Provide crisis intervention and consultation by phone as needed. * Respond to out-of-hours requests for crisis intervention and consultation as needed. * Coordinate services with community agencies such as DSHS, doctors, hospital staff, discharge planners, other MH Providers, courts, Day Services, Home Care agencies, Employment Support agencies, residential providers etc. * Seek consultation and feedback from clients, family members, agency staff and residential providers * Provide services and treatment in accordance with the evidence-based practice recovery model and document the same. * In coordination with community agencies and professionals, provide mental health services as appropriate including: direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention; consultation/liaison with government and community agencies, hospitals, and other programs; community education, development, coordination and prevention/intervention programs; and program development and evaluation. * Consult existing clinical staff and medication management services. Provide timely and accurate compliance with all required and appropriate charting and coding as required by regulatory organizations such as Medicare, Medicaid, Home and Community Services, etc. * Comply with involuntary treatment admission (ITA) requirements as appropriate and/or coordinate least restrictive order (LRO) services if needed. Notify CDMHPs, write affidavits, and serve as a witness in court when involuntary treatment is indicated if needed establish and clarify involvement if an existing MH Provider is also working with client. indicated (at the end of 72 hours, 14 days, 90 days, etc.) if needed/appropriate. * Monitor compliance with LRO (Least Restrictive Order) as needed. o Deliver services as stated. o Seek continuance when indicated. o Complete all required documentation in a timely and thorough manner consistent with approved practices, policies and procedures. * Attend continuing education training as required by state regulations. Attend all training required by Sunrise. * Maintain all on-going licensing and certification requirements for this position and supply Sunrise proof of the same. * Monitors illness management and resource needs of assigned clients. * Develop consumer-focused, goal-oriented treatment plans, which address the specific needs of the consumer.
