## About the Role

* 4 to 7 years of hands-on IT support experience, ideally in an MSP
 * Proven ability to stand up a firewall from scratch, not just follow a runbook
 * Strong Windows troubleshooting and endpoint deployment skills
 * Working knowledge of networking fundamentals
 * Clear written documentation habits
 * Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable owning problems to resolution

Nice to Have

 * CompTIA Network+, Security+, or vendor firewall certifications
 * Experience with ConnectWise, 3CX, or ScreenConnect
 * Client-facing communication experience

## Description

RDE Technologies is a growing managed services provider supporting roughly 250 clients across the New York metro area. We are hiring a Tier 2.5 Support Technician who can work independently, resolve escalations, and own network and endpoint work end to end. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to reduce fires, not just react to them.

What You Will Do

 * Install, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls (SonicWall, Fortinet, or similar)
 * Image, deploy, and maintain desktops and laptops
 * Handle Tier 2 and Tier 2.5 escalations across Windows environments
 * Troubleshoot networking issues (VLANs, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
 * Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint management tools
 * Document work cleanly in our PSA and documentation systems
 * Mentor Tier 1 technicians and escalate to senior engineers when needed
