Desired Qualifications: * Experience with Zero Trust architectures and methodologies., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a technical discipline, or a related field, plus five years of directly related experience; or completion of a certified technical or vocational school plus 10 years of directly related experience gained through progressively higher levels of complexity. ## Description Serve as cleared senior network SME for DoD medical networks. Lead resolution of complex LAN/WLAN/WAN issues, design and enforce standards, configure firewalls/VPNs/IDS, use SolarWinds/ARMIS/Ansible for diagnostics, advise government stakeholders, lead teams, and support performance, capacity planning, and high-availability across DHA facilities., C3EL is seeking a cleared Senior Network Engineer to support the DoD medical mission. This key-personnel position addresses highly complex infrastructure requirements across DHA networked facilities and serves as the contract's premier Network Specialist and subject-matter expert. The engineer is responsible for resolving the most complex LAN/WLAN/WAN issues and providing contract-wide technical leadership. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: * Serve as the CONUS and global point of contact for network issues, configuration management, communications interconnection, addressing, multi-protocol routing, and network management. * Serve as the contract's premier Network Specialist and subject-matter expert for issues covered by the supporting network labor categories. * Study vendor products and determine which components and configurations best meet DoD and CONUS medical treatment facility requirements. * Identify, research, and resolve complex LAN, WLAN, and WAN network problems using network management and diagnostic tools. * Provide high-level installation, configuration, documentation, management, and troubleshooting of LAN/WLAN/WAN communications equipment for DHA networked facilities. * Advise and consult with Government staff, agencies, and contractor representatives on network design, implementation, deployment, and management to ensure optimal support of the Military Health System mission. * Lead and coordinate Network Specialists and internal or external organizations in resolving LAN/WLAN/WAN issues. * Troubleshoot network and routing protocols across all levels of the OSI model using tools such as Orion SolarWinds, ARMIS, and Ansible. * Use Management Information Blocks (MIB) and Multi Router Traffic Grapher (MRTG) concepts and methodologies to support performance measurement, capacity planning, high availability, and minimum downtime. * Establish and configure network firewalls, virtual private network devices, and intrusion detection systems to strengthen LAN/WLAN/WAN security and prevent unauthorized access to medical treatment facility systems. * Prepare written technical recommendations, document operational changes and enhancements through tickets and standards, and coordinate standards updates with the NetMOD Network Standards Team. * Establish and implement LAN/WLAN/WAN procedures and standards that support applicable DoD, DHA, and regional command objectives and policies. * Communicate the status of network support requests to key customers. * Develop policies, procedures, best practices, and minimum standards for LAN/WLAN/WAN access and operations. * Lead or participate in other projects and provide additional support as mission needs arise., Serve as the CONUS SME and lead technical authority for LAN/WLAN/WAN operations at military hospitals. Provide enterprise engineering, complex troubleshooting across OSI layers, design and modernization guidance, DoD/DHA compliance, firewall/VPN/IDS/IPS/Zero Trust support, performance optimization, stakeholder interfacing, policy development, and mentor network engineering staff.
