Experience * 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a field service technician in power systems, electrical equipment, industrial controls, or a related field. * Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex electrical systems and components. * Experience using field service management software is preferred. * Working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, transformers, circuit breakers, LV/MV switchgear, and protective relay systems. Skills and Competencies * Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. * Proficiency with electrical testing equipment, diagnostic software, and standard electrical tools. * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Strong organizational and time-management abilities. * Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Additional Requirements * Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays. * Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. * Strong commitment to workplace safety and customer satisfaction. Work Environment Conditions * Exposure to energized and de-energized electrical systems. * Exposure to industrial environments, including noise, dust, dirt, and construction-related conditions. * Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including arc-flash suits, hard hats, safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, and fall-protection equipment. ## Description In this role, you will take on increasingly complex assignments and work with greater independence while supporting a wide range of power system equipment. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with electrical power systems, industrial controls, and field service operations, along with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Key ResponsibilitiesField Service Support * Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) switchgear, PLC controls, and related electrical infrastructure. * Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site with minimal supervision, ensuring reliable system performance and minimizing customer downtime. * Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning activities to verify proper operation and compliance with applicable industry standards. * Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to address complex technical challenges and escalate issues when necessary. Customer Interaction and Support * Serve as the primary customer contact during service visits, providing technical support and maintaining strong customer relationships. * Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and corrective actions clearly and professionally. * Prepare detailed service documentation, including troubleshooting reports, test results, maintenance records, and system performance assessments. Operational Efficiency * Independently manage service assignments, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of work. * Assist in coordinating service schedules to optimize resource utilization and reduce customer downtime. * Work with internal teams to ensure the availability of required parts, tools, and equipment. * Maintain accurate records related to service activities, inventory, labor hours, and equipment usage. * Utilize remote diagnostic tools to troubleshoot systems and provide technical support to field personnel when needed.
