## Description

The Application Engineer is responsible for understanding customer product specifications and technical needs and innovating and developing specific product/service solutions designs to meet those specifications. This position reports to the Sales Engineering Manager and is exempt., * Prepare quotations for products and systems to meet customers' requirements.

 * Provide quotation follow-up as required.
 * Provide technical support for customers, internal staff, and external sales force.
 * Develop pricing for lifting systems and specialty linear positioning equipment.
 * Ensure that final product designs meet customers' specifications.
 * Interact with customers, customer service, external sales force, design engineering, and manufacturing personnel to support customers' requirements.
 * Work with engineers to resolve problems that arise during and after implementation.
 * Domestic travel (up to 5%).
 * Identifies specific activities required to accomplish objectives and priorities to drive desired results and meet deadlines or outside obligations.
 * Complete reporting requirements as requested by Sales Engineering Manager as related to performance metrics or other measures that foster continuous improvement.
 * Perform related work and additional duties as requested/assigned by management.
