## About the Role

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agriculture, or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
 + Alternatively, a 2-year or 4-year degree in a related field with at least 14 years of pertinent experience.
 * Technical Proficiency:
 + Competence in various software, including SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Suite, MathCAD, Glovia, Outlook, e-mail, and nCode Glyphworks.
 * Skills & Abilities:
 + Expertise in identifying root causes of component failures.
 + Comprehensive knowledge of engineering fundamentals including FEA, CFD, stress analysis, hydraulics, electrical systems, and manufacturing processes.
 + Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact constructively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
 + Effective time management, keen attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
 + Proficiency in test planning, data review, and interpretation to provide actionable insights.
 * Travel Requirement:
 + Occasional travel, up to 20%, both domestically and internationally, may be necessary.

## Description

The Senior Design Engineer will take charge of conceptualizing, designing, documenting, constructing, and validating novel solutions tailored for the sector. Apart from hands-on design work, this role encompasses managerial tasks, interfacing with various departments, and ensuring the designs align with company objectives and customer needs.

Core Responsibilities:

 * Design & Innovation:
 + Lead diverse design ventures including load calculations, digital model reviews, and guidance on Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
 + Develop comprehensive bills of materials using SolidWorks, prioritizing manufacturability, cost efficiency, and safety.
 + Diagnose production or service challenges and formulate effective solutions.
 * Team Leadership & Mentorship:
 + Oversee product development timelines, ensuring timely delivery.
 + Guide and mentor team members, setting performance benchmarks and ensuring they are met or exceeded.
 + Educate users on SolidWorks, PDMWorks, ECN tools, and industry best practices.
 * Quality Assurance:
 + Test design changes undertaken by technicians and ensure adherence to quality standards.
