## About the Role

* Degree in Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
 * Strong commercial experience developing embedded software in C/C++.
 * Experience with embedded microcontrollers and real-time embedded systems.
 * Good understanding of embedded hardware, electronic schematics and hardware/software integration.
 * Experience using Git and modern software development practices.
 * Strong debugging, testing and problem-solving skills.
 * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Desirable Skills

 * Experience with STM32, Renesas, Microchip or Atmel microcontrollers.
 * Knowledge of MISRA C, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
 * Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS.
 * Understanding of functional safety or safety-critical software (IEC 61508/SIL).
 * Familiarity with FPGA/VHDL development.
 * Experience using Jira, Confluence or similar Agile development tools.

## Description

You will develop embedded software for sophisticated sensing and monitoring products, taking projects from concept through to production. Working closely with hardware engineers and scientists, you'll:

 * Design, develop and test embedded software for new products.
 * Support existing products throughout their lifecycle.
 * Collaborate on hardware and software integration.
 * Review, optimise and maintain high-quality code.
 * Produce technical documentation and test reports.
 * Contribute to product verification, validation and continuous improvement.
 * Work with an international R&D team to deliver innovative solutions.
