As a GPU IP Software Technical Lead, you will guide software delivery for a GPU development programme, considering new hardware features, product needs and programme priorities. This is a technical leadership role rather than an individual contributor coding role. You will use your technical depth to guide decisions, connect specialists, challenge assumptions and make delivery risks visible early. Detailed design and implementation remain with the component teams; your role is to ensure the software plan is technically credible and aligned across the programme. Responsibilities Working with architects and trinities, you will assess how new GPU features and hardware changes affect the software stack. The role brings together dependencies, ownership, delivery plans and validation needs across several teams. We use our technical knowledge to identify technical, integration, validation, schedule and resourcing risks early. This includes making ownership clear, supporting timely decisions and giving the programme an accurate view of software readiness. At a System-level, the IP Tech Lead encourages teams to consider the complete GPU solution and supports relevant software development, security and functional-safety practices. ## Related Videos - [Unleashing the Full Potential of the Arm Architecture – Write Once, Deploy Anywhere](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/940-unleashing-the-full-potential-of-the-arm-architecture-write-once-deploy-anywhere) - [Just-in-time Compilation in JVM](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/240-just-in-time-compilation-in-jvm) - [Playing Pong on a shoulder press machine](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100140-playing-pong-on-a-shoulder-press-machine) - [Docker network without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1418-docker-network-without-docker) - [For the Cars and the Curious: Android Drift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/499-for-the-cars-and-the-curious-android-drift) - [Building a Compiler with C#](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/116-building-a-compiler-with-c) ## Related Articles - [How software is steering vehicle technology](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/515-how-software-is-steering-vehicle-technology) - [What’s the Difference between a Junior, Mid, and Senior Developer?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/238-what-s-the-difference-between-a-junior-mid-and-senior-developer) - [7 Important Tips That Every Software Developer Should Know](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/101-7-important-tips-that-every-software-developer-should-know) - [Software Engineer Salary London](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/252-software-engineer-salary-london) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [The Best X (Twitter) Accounts for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/294-the-best-x-twitter-accounts-for-developers)
