You are the studio's technical multiplier: a senior developer who, augmented by coding agents, delivers what a small team used to deliver, without compromising on architecture or game feel. Responsibilities - --------------- * Develop prototypes and complete games in Unity (C#), from concept to live, on cycles of days to weeks * Make AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Unity MCP) your default way of working, while remaining fully accountable for architecture, code quality, and maintainability * Build the studio's tooling: asset generation pipelines, automated QA agents, CI/CD, and editor tools that accelerate the whole team * Integrate and master the full SDK ecosystem (ads, analytics, MMP, IAP: GameAnalytics, Adjust, Adapty, ad mediation platforms) * Optimize rigorously: memory, framerate, build size, and load times across a highly heterogeneous Android and iOS device base * Challenge Product Managers on feasibility and propose technical solutions that expand design possibilities Requirements - ----------- * **5 years of Unity/C# development** in mobile F2P, with **shipped games that are publicly available** --- you should be prepared to walk through your titles and your precise role on each * **Demonstrable technical excellence**: clean architecture under speed constraints, advanced profiling (Memory Profiler, Frame Debugger), and deep familiarity with mobile performance pitfalls * **Advanced practice of AI-assisted development**: you have restructured your workflow around these tools and have a clear, tested understanding of what can be delegated to an agent and what cannot * **A strong sense of game feel**: you can explain what makes a game satisfying to play, and you know how to reproduce it * **Proven velocity**: you have prototyped in days rather than months, and you can demonstrate it * Full autonomy: you identify what needs to be done without waiting to be told * Fluent English required If your experience with AI tools is limited to code completion, or if you have not shipped games end to end, this position is unlikely to be the right fit. Nice to have - ----------- * Internal tools or agents you built that are used by people other than yourself * Monetization expertise (ad waterfalls, placements, mediation, IAP) * Shaders, VFX, or advanced game feel skills * Open-source contributions or side projects that demonstrate your level ## Related Videos - [Dizzy users close browsers: balancing creativity and accessibility](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/803-dizzy-users-close-browsers-balancing-creativity-and-accessibility) - [Profiling Symfony & PHP apps with Blackfire](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/265-profiling-symfony-php-apps-with-blackfire) - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE - Dapr / Pixels and Generative Art / Open Source and Communities / and more](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1720-wearedevelopers-live-dapr-pixels-and-generative-art-open-source-and-communities-and-more) - [What’s New and What’s Next in Web UI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/956-what-s-new-and-what-s-next-in-web-ui) - [Enhancing Workload Security in Kubernetes](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/356-enhancing-workload-security-in-kubernetes) - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE - Accessibility isn't magic, Longevity, Devrel in times of AI and more](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1730-wearedevelopers-live-accessibility-isn-t-magic-longevity-devrel-in-times-of-ai-and-more) ## Related Articles - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Dev Digest 137 - AI'm not sure about this](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/485-dev-digest-137-ai-m-not-sure-about-this) - [Dev Digest 113 - Debugging above the cloud](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/422-dev-digest-113-debugging-above-the-cloud) - [Dev Digest 132 - Binging WADFlix?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/473-dev-digest-132-binging-wadflix) - [Dev Digest 131 - AI'm not sure about OSS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/472-dev-digest-131-ai-m-not-sure-about-oss)
