KPIs/Measurables · Accuracy, quality, and completeness of engineering analyses, CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and supporting documentation. · Completion of assigned engineering tasks and deliverables within established schedules and priorities. · Compliance of engineering designs and documentation with applicable regulatory, customer, and company requirements. · Responsiveness to production, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and engineering support requests. · Support of continuous improvement initiatives, engineering standards, modeling practices, and lessons-learned activities. ## Description The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, integration, and documentation of structural and mechanical systems associated with aerospace ground test systems and associated equipment. This role combines the fundamental skills of a Mechanical Engineer with the CAD proficiency of a Mechanical Designer, independently developing complete engineering solutions from initial concept through released engineering drawings and specifications. The Mechanical Design Engineer develops structural installations, equipment mounts, engineering drawings, and supporting documentation while ensuring designs are structurally sound, manufacturable, maintainable, and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements. Mechanical Design Engineers work closely with Electrical Engineers, , Stress Analysts, and external stakeholders to develop engineering solutions that meet technical, regulatory, and operational requirements. They are expected to independently produce and maintain the engineering data necessary to support fabrication, installation, certification, and continued airworthiness.
