## About the Role

* Previous estimating or preconstruction experience on data center projects

 * Experience with hyperscale, colocation or other mission-critical facilities

 * Strong understanding of large-scale construction and MEP systems

 * Experience estimating projects valued at $200M or more

 * Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documents

 * Experience with estimating and take-off software

 * Strong commercial, analytical and communication skills

 * Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred

## Description

My client, an established general contractor delivering major mission-critical projects across the United States, is looking for a Senior Estimator with prior data center construction experience to join its Houston team.
This individual will lead preconstruction and estimating activities for large-scale hyperscale and colocation data center developments valued between $200M and $600M.
Responsibilities

 * Lead conceptual, schematic design, design development and final construction estimates

 * Develop detailed estimates for hyperscale and colocation data center projects

 * Perform quantity take-offs and prepare comprehensive cost plans

 * Review drawings, specifications and contract documents for scope gaps and risks

 * Manage subcontractor and supplier outreach, bid packages and proposal evaluations

 * Complete bid leveling and support subcontractor selection

 * Partner with operations, design, scheduling and procurement teams

 * Lead value engineering and constructability reviews

 * Maintain historical cost data and current market pricing

 * Identify project risks, exclusions, assumptions and cost-saving opportunities

 * Present estimates and commercial recommendations to leadership and clients
