## About the Role

Qualifications - Required:

 * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
 * 3+ years' experience as people manager to lead an engineering team.

Qualifications - Other Requirements:

 * Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
 * Experience in machine learning, deep learning and GenAI.
 * Experience building large-scale, distributed platforms.
 * Experience in security (optional).

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

 * This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.

 * Lead the definition of requirements, KPIs, priorities and planning of engineering deliverables.
 * Lead the design and implementation of client and services for extremely high scale, throughput, durability, and low latency.
 * Mentor and grow the energetic, diverse, and driven junior team members.
 * Build AI agent to automatically detect system vulnerability and simulate real attacks.
 * Build data platform and signal ingestion pipeline.
 * Design and integrate machine learning models in production systems to achieve real-time user and agent protection.
 * Focus on customer/partner needs through a data driven approach.
