## About the Role

* Associate's degree or industry-recognized certification required
 * High school diploma or equivalent required
 * 3 years of IT experience preferred
 * CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification preferred
 * Experience troubleshooting systems
 * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (G Suite)
 * Strong working knowledge of macOS and Windows operating systems
 * Experience using large language models (LLMs) and other AI tools to increase productivity and efficiency preferred
 * Strong communication and presentation skills
 * Maintains a high level of professionalism
 * Ability to communicate with students, staff, and colleagues; read academic texts and materials, student papers, etc.; operate a personal computer and audio-visual equipment; stand or sit for one to three hours at a time; drive to off-site meetings, conferences, or to observe student interns; and move around campus for classes and meetings.
 * The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

## Description

This is a full-time, salaried position for an experienced industry professional to join our IT Team. The IT Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains hardware and software components; installs and configures equipment; and provides technical support across the organization. This role works closely with departments and staff at every level-listening to their technical needs and implementing effective IT solutions to resolve issues quickly and reliably., * Perform computer imaging, staging, and installation

 * Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
 * Repair or replace damaged hardware
 * Reconfigure computers to support compatible software
 * Manage IT assets, including inventory control requirements
 * Assist with onboarding student and staff email and computer accounts
 * Assist with help desk calls, room scheduling, and IT support tickets
 * Purchase IT supplies and equipment for the College in accordance with the Purchasing Card and Procurement Policies
 * Comply with all Dixie Tech policies and procedures
 * Perform other duties as assigned
 * Reports to the Campus IT Manager
