Preferred: * Experience within regulated industries such as energy, maritime, manufacturing, or financial services. * Experience working in Agile environments. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and enterprise security concepts. * Working knowledge of security frameworks including NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and OWASP. * Experience with vulnerability management, endpoint security, identity and access management (IAM), network security, and cloud security. * Familiarity with secure software development and DevSecOps concepts. * Experience using security tools such as vulnerability scanners, SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, or cloud security solutions. * Understanding of SAST, DAST, Software Composition Analysis (SCA), or similar application security tools is preferred but not required. * Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and secure development practices. * Ability to analyze security risks and recommend practical solutions. * Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. * Professional certifications such as Security+, CISSP (Associate), GSEC, SSCP, Azure Security Engineer or similar certifications are a plus but not required. ## Description Cyber Security Architect is a key member of the IT Cyber Security team responsible for helping design, implement, and enhance enterprise security solutions that protect digital assets, systems, applications, and data. This role is ideal for a strong cybersecurity professional with a solid technical foundation who is ready to expand into broader security architecture responsibilities while partnering closely with senior leadership and engineering teams. The position will focus on strengthening application security, secure software development practices, cloud security, and DevSecOps while providing opportunities to grow into enterprise architecture, strategic planning, and technical leadership. This role is well suited for someone with strong hands-on cybersecurity experience who is looking to take the next step in their career. What You Will Do Security Engineering & Architecture * Assist in designing and implementing enterprise security architectures across cloud, on-premise, hybrid, and application environments. * Participate in architecture reviews for applications, infrastructure, SaaS platforms, and cloud solutions to ensure alignment with cybersecurity standards and risk management practices. * Work alongside senior architects and engineering teams to continuously improve IT security posture. Application Security * Support secure application design by promoting secure coding practices, application security standards, and security-by-design principles. * Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Development teams to ensure applications are built on secure and scalable platforms. Secure Software Development * Partner with development teams to integrate security throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). * Participate in threat modeling, code reviews, vulnerability remediation, and application security testing. DevSecOps * Assist with implementing DevSecOps practices by integrating security into CI/CD pipelines. * Support automated security testing, code scanning, dependency analysis, and vulnerability management. Risk & Governance * Identify and assess cybersecurity risks affecting applications, cloud platforms, APIs, and infrastructure. * Support security assessments and ensure solutions align with company policies and industry best practices.
