Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. ## Description We are seeking a highly motivated Java Full Stack Developer with 5+ years of experience to support a large-scale application modernization initiative involving the migration of multiple enterprise applications from IBM WebSphere 8.5.5 to Apache Tomcat on Kubernetes. This is a lift-and-shift migration program, focused on application server migration, Java version upgrades, middleware configuration migration, and containerized deployments. Existing business functionality, SOAP interfaces, authorization mechanisms, and integrations will remain unchanged. The ideal candidate should possess strong Java development skills, WebSphere exposure, integration expertise, and hands-on experience working across both frontend and backend technologies. Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Application Migration & Modernization Assist in migrating applications from IBM WebSphere to Apache Tomcat. Analyze existing application components, configurations, and deployment artifacts. Support Java version upgrades from legacy Java environments to current supported versions. Participate in application testing, validation, and deployment activities. Troubleshoot migration-related issues and resolve compatibility concerns. Full Stack Development Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Framework. Build and enhance user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Develop backend services, APIs, and integration components. Support application performance tuning and defect resolution. Middleware & Integration Work on SOAP-based web services and enterprise integrations. Configure and support JMS messaging components. Assist in migration of JDBC connection pools and datasource configurations. Analyze and troubleshoot backend integrations and application dependencies. Support SAML-based authentication and authorization implementations. Database Development Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions. Work with Oracle and other relational database systems. Support application data validation and performance optimization activities.
