Ability to demonstrate a general knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software acquired from any combination of formal technical training or experience. Background or experience in education is helpful., * Clear communication tailored for both highly technical staff and non-technical staff or students. * Patience when assisting users under time constraints. * Strong problem-solving skills to ask questions, analyze and diagnose root causes of technical issues. * Time management to prioritize urgent classroom interruptions over routine tasks. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be in good physical condition as determined by pre-employment physical. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be performed by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. ## Description Purpose of the Job: Under supervision of the Director of Technology, manages, maintains, and troubleshoots educational technology across the school district. This role ensures students, teachers, and staff have reliable access to digital learning and teaching tools, hardware, and networks. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, chromebook repair, troubleshooting and resolving classroom software and hardware issues, promptly resolving assigned help tickets, assisting with device deployments, and maintaining an equipment inventory. This position requires strong communication skills; the ability to listen and convey technical terms to non-technical people. This position requires a self-motivated, detail oriented individual with strong analytical and problem solving skills with a willingness to learn new technology. This individual must be customer focused and have the ability to function independently at times., Technical Support & Troubleshooting * Resolve hardware issues for laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, and desktop computers. Chromebook repair is an essential duty. * Fix classroom technology including interactive displays, document cameras, PC's, laptops, and Chromebook's. * Troubleshoot network connectivity regarding Wi-Fi, local area networks, and printers. * Support software applications including learning management systems (LMS) and educational applications. * Track third-party support cases, RMA's or insurance claims. * Organize tasks and complete in order of priority. * Report all technical issues, user requests, and system concerns immediately to the Director of Technology for evaluation and instruction. * Perform testing on devices and peripherals to ensure they function as intended. System & Device Management * Configure new devices for students and staff using mobile device management (MDM) tools. * Manage devices within Google Workspace for Education. * Maintain inventory tracking for all district-owned hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. * Deploy system updates and security patches during scheduled maintenance windows. * Create and Maintain computer images on the imaging server * Assist with the annual deployment and collection of student Chromebook's.
