## About the Role

* Demonstrable experience in Data Science
 * Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop Data Scientists, guiding teams to deliver high-quality, impactful work.
 * Strong communication and stakeholder-engagement skills, able to work effectively with end users, peers, and senior leaders.
 * Fluency in Data Science techniques across statistics, machine learning, and GenAI.
 * Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with the ability to build reliable, scalable solutions.
 * Experience working in cloud environments on Linux and/or Windows platforms (Azure experience is a plus)
 * A strong track record delivering the full lifecycle of Data Science products and projects.
 * Experience working within regulated utility environments.
 * Experimental design experience and a hypothesis-driven mindset.
 * Familiarity with interactive visualisation tools (Power BI a plus).
 * Knowledge of GIS tools, such as ArcGIS

Desirable

 * Any exposure to highly regulated sectors such as utilities / power / energy / electricity / water / gas / nuclear / financial services / telecoms etc.
