## About the Role

* 6+ years' experience building production software
 * Previous technical leadership experience within an engineering team
 * Strong backend development skills in C#/.NET (or Java, Kotlin, Go)
 * Experience with React, Vue.js, or similar front-end frameworks
 * Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
 * Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
 * CI/CD and modern software delivery experience
 * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
 * Passion for mentoring and developing engineers

Nice to have

 * Enterprise systems or integration experience
 * Previous people management responsibilities
 * Experience with platform modernisation or transformation programmes
 * Exposure to ERP, CRM, or other business-critical platforms

## Description

We're partnering with an established technology business undergoing a major platform transformation and looking to hire a Senior Engineering Team Lead to drive technical delivery, architecture, and team development.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll split your time between building scalable software, setting technical direction, and helping engineers grow and succeed.

What you'll be doing

? Leading a product-focused engineering squad

? Driving architecture, system design, and engineering best practice

? Working closely with Product Managers to shape roadmaps and delivery

? Remaining hands-on with development, code reviews, and complex technical challenges

? Coaching and mentoring engineers through regular 1-1s and career development

? Championing modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development tools

? Collaborating with wider engineering teams on platform-wide initiatives
