## About the Role

IT Chapter Lead - Insurance At ING we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic IT Chapter Lead to join our IT Management Team of Insurance. The Core responsibilities include managing the IT Team and ensuring the IT strategy is aligned with business goals. Key Responsibilities Positively contribute to the alignment and coordination with Business and Tech strategy execution. Coordinate the execution of priority Business and Technical initiatives, guaranteeing Business delivery and Tech standards compliance. Lead and coach a squad of 7-10 Software Engineers. Drive craftmanship and technical excellence within the tribe. Co-create the "HOW" of initiatives, defining planning, IT Team organization, and challenge architectural designs. Provide solutions to improve services reliability, scalability, and performance. Stay informed about the best technologies that can enhance our systems. Collaborate closely with chapter leads within and outside the tribe. Identify synergy opportunities with, Ability to work autonomously. Proactive leadership attitude. Experience in project management. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and at least 3 years of Scrum experience. Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing software engineering teams. Knowledge of engineering practices, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, and testing. Ensure required service levels in all environments for the assets under scope. Qualifications Engineering degree with at least 8 years of experience. Passion for IT. Strong analytical skills. At least 3 years of people management experience. Excellent communication skills. Ability to deliver results in a fast-changing environment.
