You will bring experience of system monitoring, configuration and troubleshooting, supported by strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to resolving technical issues. Knowledge of network platforms such as Cisco, Juniper or similar is important, alongside a sound understanding of core network security principles, including access controls and threat monitoring. Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, and exposure to a range of network technologies are desirable. You will be an effective communicator, able to provide clear technical support to colleagues and end users, and comfortable working collaboratively as part of a wider team. Organised and detail-oriented, you will maintain accurate records of network configurations and changes, while contributing to projects and continuous service improvement. A proactive, self-motivated approach is essential, with the confidence to work independently in a fast-paced environment and the curiosity to keep developing your skills, particularly in emerging areas such as cloud technologies. ## Description The Cheshire West and Chester Council Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) department has recently undergone a huge transformation and is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to ensure the reliability, security, and optimal performance of the Council's cloud-based systems-including voice, data, video, and wireless services hosted on cloud platforms.
