You'll work at the intersection of healthcare interoperability, system design, and data engineering - connecting EHRs, APIs, and analytics pipelines that make our AI models work at scale. In this role, you'll collaborate with delivery leads, product managers, and customer engineers to design and build reliable integrations using modern interoperability standards. Most of your work will involve Python-based data transformation and interface development, integrating with HL7 v2, FHIR, and RESTful APIs. You'll also coordinate with offshore engineers to deliver high-quality solutions on time. You'll have the opportunity to shape our integration framework, define reusable patterns, and improve performance and reliability across the platform. What You'll Do * Design, build, and maintain healthcare data integrations using Python, HL7 v2, FHIR, REST APIs, and SQL. * Collaborate with product and delivery teams to translate requirements into scalable, testable integration flows. * Coordinate with offshore teams on implementation, review, and QA. * Monitor and optimize performance across live integrations, identifying and resolving bottlenecks. * Contribute to reusable components and integration templates that improve delivery efficiency. * Troubleshoot production issues, lead root-cause analysis, and ensure smooth resolution. * This role requires a minimum of 20-40% travel, which may include overnight or out-of-state trips. ## Related Videos - [Docker Compose: Rediscovered](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1978-docker-compose-rediscovered) - [Tips and Tricks for Working with JSON](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1229-tips-and-tricks-for-working-with-json) - [Why make use of an integration platform in today's software developments and infrastructure?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/758-why-make-use-of-an-integration-platform-in-today-s-software-developments-and-infrastructure) - [Docker build without Docker](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100114-docker-build-without-docker) - [Introducing JSON Structure](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100219-introducing-json-structure) - [The Software Engineer 2030: From Coder To AI Orchestrator? - Patrick Schnell](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1825-the-software-engineer-2030-from-coder-to-ai-orchestrator-patrick-schnell) ## Related Articles - [Fully Remote Software Engineer Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/447-fully-remote-software-engineer-jobs) - [The Best X (Twitter) Accounts for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/294-the-best-x-twitter-accounts-for-developers) - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [How to Become an AI Engineer](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/331-how-to-become-an-ai-engineer) - [Why Upskilling And Reskilling is Important For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/428-why-upskilling-and-reskilling-is-important-for-developers) - [The Most Popular IT Jobs on the Market](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/376-the-most-popular-it-jobs-on-the-market)
