Desirable Skills * Experience with AWS cloud services. * Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. * Experience with Kafka or other messaging technologies. * Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code. * Experience using Maven or Gradle. * Previous experience working within UK Government or other public sector organisations. * Understanding of secure software development practices. If you're a skilled Java Developer looking to contribute to one of the UK's largest digital transformation programmes, we'd love to hear from you. ## Description Job Title: Java Developer Rate: £400 (Inside IR35) Duration: 6 Months Location: Remote with occasional visits Clearance: BPSS Stages: 1 Stage Start Date: August Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications. * Build secure, scalable, and maintainable microservices. * Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and Solution Architects. * Develop and consume RESTful APIs. * Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following best practices. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. * Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments. * Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions. * Work within Agile Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
