Working under the guidance of senior developers, systems analysts, and designers, the Applications Programmer assists with all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, programming, testing, documentation, and application support. This position contributes to the delivery of reliable, secure, and maintainable software solutions supporting mission-critical operations., * Assist in the development, maintenance, enhancement, and support of software applications. * Work with systems analysts and designers to research, analyze, and document user and business requirements. * Analyze system objectives and technical problems identified during the requirements gathering process. * Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed program specifications. * Participate in application design activities, including defining data structures, program logic, interfaces, and error handling. * Develop, modify, and maintain application code to correct defects and improve system functionality. * Assist with unit, integration, and system testing to verify software functionality and performance. * Troubleshoot application issues and support problem resolution activities. * Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including program specifications, user documentation, and system support materials. * Assist in preparing reports regarding application status, software performance, maintenance activities, and issue resolution. * Support software configuration management and version control activities. * Follow established software development standards, security policies, and quality assurance procedures. * Collaborate with developers, analysts, testers, and customers to ensure successful software delivery., B&A has launched several programs to focus on employee engagement, wellness, and assistance.
