You'll work as a dedicated User Experience Designer across product teams in our Digital and Controls (DaC) Development Unit. Here, you will partner closely with developers and product owners to turn user needs into practical, elegant solutions that actually get used in the real world. You take ownership of your designs - from understanding user behaviour to translating it into clear flows, interactions, and prototypes. At the same time, you'll be part of a UX/UI team, where you can connect with other designers, exchange ideas, and continue to learn. In this role, you'll typically contribute to 2 to 3 product teams, giving you variety and the opportunity to quickly build experience across different domains. You'll work within an established design system and have space to develop your own ideas and approach. Your role is hybrid, based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. We value flexibility and collaboration: you are encouraged to spend 1-2 days per week in our office while enjoying the support for your home office set-up and travel costs. As our products are used across different markets, you may occasionally travel to international locations to conduct user research and gain first-hand insights into how your designs are used in practice. Your key tasks * Understand user needs by conducting interviews, surveys, and competitor analysis to uncover insights that shape your solutions. * Design intuitive experiences by creating user flows, wireframes, and both low- and high-fidelity prototypes for new features and improvements. * Test and improve your designs by running usability tests, identifying pain points, and iterating based on real user feedback. * Work closely with your product teams - including developers and product owners - as well as other stakeholders to bring ideas to life. * Translate insights into structure by developing personas and mapping user journeys to guide design decisions. ## Related Videos - [UX is a fullstack job!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1020-ux-is-a-fullstack-job) - [Building Collaborative Open Source tools for Developers and Designers - Pablo Ruiz-Muzquiz from Penpot](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1345-building-collaborative-open-source-tools-for-developers-and-designers-pablo-ruiz-muzquiz-from-penpot) - [Boost Productivity with AI: Figma & Playwright MCP Workflows - Aris Markogiannakis](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1768-boost-productivity-with-ai-figma-playwright-mcp-workflows-aris-markogiannakis) - [Fireside Chat with Kris Rasmussen, CTO at Figma](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/982-fireside-chat-with-kris-rasmussen-cto-at-figma) - [Insight into AI-Driven Design](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1016-insight-into-ai-driven-design) - [Preventing Accessibility Issues Instead Of Fixing Them](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/804-preventing-accessibility-issues-instead-of-fixing-them) ## Related Articles - [The Most Popular IT Jobs on the Market](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/376-the-most-popular-it-jobs-on-the-market) - [How to Find Tech Jobs in Amsterdam](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/279-how-to-find-tech-jobs-in-amsterdam) - [How to land a developer job in Amsterdam](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/36-how-to-land-a-developer-job-in-amsterdam) - [Top 5 Web Design Trends for 2023](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/155-top-5-web-design-trends-for-2023) - [Finding Jobs in Germany](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/375-finding-jobs-in-germany) - [The Netherlands – Europe’s powerhouse for software development?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/31-the-netherlands-europe-s-powerhouse-for-software-development)
