## About the Role

* Strong hands-on experience with Java 21/25 and Spring Boot.
 * Proven experience designing and implementing microservices-based applications.
 * Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
 * Strong experience developing REST APIs and distributed systems.
 * Experience with AWS cloud services and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes (EKS).
 * Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
 * Experience managing infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
 * Strong knowledge of MongoDB, Mongo Atlas, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
 * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control using GitHub.
 * Experience with application monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation using tools such as New Relic and Bosun.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

 * Experience working within large-scale retail or eCommerce environments.
 * Knowledge of cloud-native architecture patterns and distributed system design.
 * Exposure to AI-assisted engineering tools and modern software development practices.
 * Experience with performance testing and non-functional testing methodologies.
 * Understanding of security best practices for cloud and microservices-based applications.
 * Experience mentoring developers and contributing to engineering standards and best practices.
 * Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps delivery methodologies.

## Description

* Develop, maintain, and enhance cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
 * Design and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka to support scalable and resilient business processes.
 * Build, deploy, and support applications on AWS using containerized platforms including Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
 * Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs to enable seamless integration across enterprise systems.
 * Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and contribute to automation and environment management.
 * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and modern DevOps practices.
 * Optimize application performance, availability, and scalability using monitoring and observability tools including New Relic and Bosun.
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality software solutions aligned with business objectives.
